Trigger Finger Exercises
Gentle movement after surgery helps reduce stiffness and encourages the tendons to glide.
Post-operative exercises
Unless your clinician has given you different instructions, start gentle finger movement early. Move the fingers little and often and aim for comfortable movement rather than forcing through significant pain.

General principles
- Fully straighten and gently bend the operated finger as comfort allows.
- Avoid heavy gripping or lifting during early wound healing.
- Elevate the hand if swelling increases.
- Contact the service if movement becomes progressively worse rather than better.
